Online Ordering Information
Important: Online orders can only be shipped to the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia at this time. Other locations need to call to order 603-942-8925. When ordering by any means other than via our online shop, we charge actual shipping charges as published by UPS or other carrier. Online orders, though, will be billed a “flat-rate” based on a combination of product type and the zone to which it’s shipping. For example, order from one class and pay the flat rate for that class. Order from two and pay the flat rate for both. But the amount for any class (based on your State), will not go up no matter how much you order from that class. That’s the beauty of a flat rate: The more you order, the more you save! Keep reading to learn more.

Perishables
Biocontrols require an expedited shipping means. By default, UPS Next Day Air will be used. There are exceptions to this rule, though. Ladybugs (Hippodamia convergens) ship via 2nd Day Air from California, and praying mantis egg cases will ship by Ground. Actual charges apply to all off-line orders.
Drop-shipped Items
Ladybugs and bumblebees are drop-shipped separately and, even though they are biocontrols, carry a separate shipping charge. Some of our products will be drop-shipped as well.
Non-perishables
In stock hard goods will ship via UPS Ground, typically the day they’re ordered, unless it’s really late in the day (see our deadlines for details).
Backorders
If an item isn’t available we will ship it when it comes in at our expense. If, however, you order an item which is listed as a backorder item (look for ![[BACKORDER]](http://greenmethods.com/site/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_backorder.jpg){kind=icon}
), with items that are not so listed, we will either delay your shipment until we can secure all items, or we will contact you to request additional shipping charges so we can split the shipment.
Delays
Biocontrol shipments will normally go out on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. If they cannot, for some reason, we will try to contact you with an update. There is an exception to this, though: If the scheduled shipping week coincides with a US or Canadian holiday, an extra day will be necessary, which means many items will be delivered on Friday, without an update. If for some reason we are unable to ship due to excessive importation delays, you will be notified. Expect delays or interrupted shipping during the following weeks:

Offline Ordering Fees and Charges
We normally charge the actual shipping rates as published by the courier company and add that amount to the order total. In addition to these shipping charges, on rare occasions we must charge additional fees, as follows:
- Shipping against customer or third party account, add $3.50 per shipment. Not an online option.
- Shipping via a customer-requested means that we don’t normally offer, add $3.50 (plus you need to supply the appropriate pre-filled waybills if applicable). Not an online option, unless arrangements have been made made in advance.
- Perishables shipped via ground within New England, add $1.50 per shipment. Not applicable to online orders.
- International orders, published shipping rates increased by 20%. Not an online option, and international shipping arrangements must be made in advance.
- Cancellation of a standing order, add $5.00 per canceled shipment. Not applicable to online orders.
