Happy 100th to Ball!
We’ll grow up to be a hundred too.
I spoke with Chris Beytes, Editor of GrowerTalks Magazine, the other day. During our conversation he mentioned what a hectic week he was having. Come to find out, Ball Horticulture, which founded Ball Publishing and GrowerTalks Magazine, is celebrating its 100th birthday. One hundred years! Imagine that.

Contributors Needed
Do you have information about one of the bugs we detail?
The scope of the GreenMethods has also had a focus and commitment to the community of biocontrol and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) users and to the industry as a whole. In other words, this site, while put together and based on The Green Spot and the writings of Mike Cherim, is not about The Green Spot. Rather it’s about all of us. We share a boat so to speak. And the GreenMethods is here to try and help you float the right way up the proverbial S***’s Creek, with both paddles on board on top of it. The Green Spot is probably exemplary of how a company works and thinks about biocontrol in this industry so a lot “general” but useful information can be found here — using us as a benchmark, so to speak.

Half-Liter Hypos No More
The half-liter is no longer available unless a suitable packaging replacement is uncovered.
The much-loved soil-dwelling predator Hypoaspis miles, which if you purchase the popular Canadian product produced by Applied Bio-nomics by way of one of their importers — like us — has long been available in two sizes: a liter bottle containing 25,000 mites, and a half-liter bottle containing 12,500.
