We’ll grow up to be a hundred too.
I spoke with Chris Beytes, Editor of GrowerTalks Magazine, the other day. During our conversation he mentioned what a hectic week he was having. Come to find out, Ball Horticulture, which founded Ball Publishing and GrowerTalks Magazine, is celebrating its 100th birthday. One hundred years! Imagine that.
“Happy Birthday Ball!”
Here are some tidbits Mr. Beytes shared:
“George J. Ball started the Ball Seed Company in 1905… He published the first Ball RedBook in 1932 (it’s now in its 17th Edition) and he started GrowerTalks magazine in 1937.” — Chris Beytes
We’ve been around since 1992, so by comparison we’re the rowdy teenagers of the business world. Someday, maybe, if the customer allows it, we’ll be there. We’ll grow up to be a hundred too. No plans of taking off anyway — 100 Years! Wow!
