Ladybugs are Available Again!

Posted November 6th, 2007 by Mike Cherim

Great news for ladybug lovers: The beetles are back! Our ladybugs, Hippodamia convergens, have been noncollectable for a few months due to a long spell of flaming hot and crispy dry California weather — you can get the details of that in a previous post. Well, now they are back. Finally we can fill backorders and have removed the “backorder” disclaimer from the ladybug entry in our online shop, now offering you this ordering convenience.

What About Next Year?

Will this happen again next summer? Only time will tell, but according to some, weather patterns will continue to get more and more bizarre as an effect of global warming. I saw Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth and there was admittedly some compelling evidence. What are your feelings about global warming? Are we in serious trouble? Is it hype, fact, or a bit of both?

I got an indirect answer to this recently thanks to the Bio-Integral Resource Center (BIRC). […]
