Thanksgiving 2007 Heads-Up

Posted November 18th, 2007 by Mike Cherim

Are you ready for a meal so big that your only option following it will be to take a big nap? Yep, us too. That’s the Thanksgiving trend in America, and part of the fun of it. But over-eating isn’t the only trend. Taking the day after off is as well. Makes sense, it takes a lot of napping to burn it all off. All this eating, sleeping, and skipping work the next day requires some scheduling changes. And that’s the reason behind this quick post.

A Quick Look

Thanksgiving seems early this year falling on the 22nd instead of the 29th, but we won’t complain — bring on the food, dole out the thanks. So you’ll know, though, we will be closed Thanksgiving day. We will also be closed the day after as we, too, recuperate. We will re-open Monday, November 25th. Also note, we will not be shipping next week except hardgoods and bugs orders that were planned in advance. If you need good bugs the week following the holiday week, please be sure to order by Wednesday the 21st (this includes online orders). We apologize for any inconvenience our scheduling may cause, but please remember that shipping bugs requires a whole other way of doing things.

Staying in the Know

To see this holiday’s schedule, as well as others that might affect our telephone hours, the shipping of biocontrols, and order deadlines for the bugs, we do offer a schedule table that you can refer to at your convenience, print out, etc.

A Quick Note

Another Thanksgiving tradition is drinking. If you’re a drinker and get plowed for the holiday, please don’t drive. That’s a sure way to have your holiday cut short, or worse, someone else’s could fall victim to your festive actions. So, for this Thanksgiving, we remind you to eat and enjoy, drink all you want if you’re not driving, have a good nap, and be sure to say thanks. And this last part is something we’d like to do now: Thank you!
