Show Off Your Winter Greenhouse

Posted January 13th, 2008 by Mike Cherim

You’ve probably noticed that when you load a page on this site the masthead or banner image changes randomly. The image you see at any given time is drawn from a collection of them — a collection we change now and then. One of our collections is a “Winter” collection. It’s lacking, though, so we really need your help.

How You Can Help

If you have a digital camera (who doesn’t nowadays, right?) we would love it if you would snap a picture or two of your greenhouse, farm, or nursery covered in snow or having that generally unused, even sad, off-season look. We need spring and summer photos as well, but we’ll remind you about that when the time comes.

Requirements

To contribute, send us photos in a JPG (JPEG), GIF, or PNG file format and be sure they are at least 760 pixels wide with 200 pixel height minimum. Most quality digital photos are much larger and default to a JPG file format so our requirements should be easy to meet. We also ask for thoughtful composition, quality, and subject clarity. We can’t guarantee your photo(s) will be used, and we do reserve the right to refuse photos that do not meet our requirements or are deemed inappropriate, but you will be credited for your contribution if it’s used so we sure hope you’ll be being a willing photobug and snap a few for us. We want to see what you see.

How to Contribute

To get the photos to us, please provide your name or the photographer’s name, and attach the image file to an email using your email program. You can do that on our additional contact options page. Alternatively you may put it on a compact disc and mail it to us at:

The Green Spot, Ltd.

Note: Please let us know if we can use your photo(s) for other purposes.
