GBHXonline Web Hosting Launches New Site

Posted March 29th, 2008 by Mike Cherim

A partnered division of our company, GBHXonline.com, has just launched a new web and blog hosting site. This is the site’s fifth incarnation, and it really needed to be done. Even though version four was an award winning site, it was over two years old and it was time for a “reboot” as they say in the web development industry. Like this site we chose WordPress for the site’s back-end (admin) affording the GBHXonline team the ability to get as much power as possible out of the site while ensuring ease of maintenance.

The new site has a number of cool things going on. First there is a two-part style changer: Part one allows the user to remove background images (helpful to dial-up users); part two installs a linear layout that works at any resolution from about 130px wide to 1280px wide (the site doesn’t get wider to control line lengths).

Other cool features include a domain name lookup tool (in a popup) and a few Flash tutorials (also in popups). Neat and helpful things available to GBHXonline’s web and blog hosting clients. Both are backed up in case JavaScript isn’t supported.

The site also has a custom shop, interfacing with PayPal (like this site), to allow visitors to order their hosting plans and whatnot online, in addition to the other options. The site, also like this one, supports text-link advertising so if you have a relevant product or service, please contact them.

We realize this news isn’t really what you would expect from us, it is our company, and we’re really digging it, so we hope you do, too.
