The Gift of Education: A Book Sale

Posted November 28th, 2008 by Mike Cherim

Educational Upgrade! With the holidays coming up we decided to do something a bit different. We decided to have a book sale so that anyone looking for that perfect gift of education for their special plant or bug person — or anyone needing an educational upgrade — will catch a break. Books are an outstanding gift. They definitely last longer than a cheese platter or box of chocolates. And anything gained by their consumption goes right to the head, not the waist or hips.

Thanksgiving Message: 2008

Posted November 23rd, 2008 by Mike Cherim

Have a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving! There are always reasons to be thankful. That’s how we feel and it is what we certainly believe. We really like this holiday and always try to make the most of it, as we should. Because of this we observe not only the holiday, but the traditional recuperation day: The day after Thanksgiving. Thankful Ladybug Sale

Posted November 18th, 2008 by Mike Cherim

We're On Sale! Due to the up-and-coming holiday next week we decided that our ladybugs, Hippodamia convergens, would be an ideal item to offer on sale, logistically speaking that is. To Bill and the others who drive the organization, congratulations. 30 years of hard work is something to be very proud of. We’re happy we met you.

Come Out to Play

Posted November 8th, 2008 by Mike Cherim

Personally I have been blogging for years. For you lay-people, that means I’ve been authoring a web log just like this one. There I offer mostly educational articles about web development and web accessibility, security and coding. But I do mix up its content since it is my personal blog. That’s me. A blog may mean something else to someone else, depending on who you ask. To some it’s a way to regularly publish news consumed by thousand of readers, while to others it may more or less be a personal diary full of random off-the-wall content enjoyed by a handful of people.

The Test Hypos For Mites And Tell Us Sale

Posted November 3rd, 2008 by Mike Cherim

Testing in Progress! A couple weeks ago we passed along some info regarding Hypoaspis miles and their potential to help protect a crop from spider mites. Weren’t not completely sure how effective they can be at this stage in the game, but we’re hoping you’ll help us find out by being our guinea pigs, so to speak. And to help you help us, we’re having a sale!
