According to our Californian ladybug collectors, we have more ladybugs (Hippodamia convergens) left over from the winter collections than we normally do. Sales have been fine, but collections were better than normal. Thus the overage. We want to sell out of those so as to make room for the summer-collected bugs when they become collectible. To help get ‘er done as some might say, we’ve decided to have yet another ladybug sale.
This sale is effective until the ordering deadline on May 22nd, 2009, and will apply to orders placed by phone, fax, or made online. Please note, though, that the special pricing is good only for orders shipped no later than May 29th, 2009 (unless there is a delay on our end). To order this item online, here’s the entry for H. convergens in our shop.

I should add, for those not in the know: Ladybugs are collected during two basic periods, a winter collection period and a summer one. There are sometimes availability gaps between these periods depending on specific weather factors. This year does not seem as if it is going to be an issue. Of course, mother nature will always have the final say. To learn more about ladybug collections in general, this humorous anecdote may help.
