Sluggo Iron phosphate Bait is extremely useful in controlling slugs and snails. So much so that we have yet to ever have a customer indicate that it didn’t work for them when the season was done. And we have asked a lot of people. These people, in fact, all said it worked great! Is it possible to please all the people all the time? And that’s not the half of it. The primary competing product to iron phosphate bait is a highly toxic poison (also a bait) called metaldehyde. And it seems the results of using the not-toxic-at-all iron phosphate — which breaks down into something your plants can utilize — are better and more consistent than the widely used poison. It just doesn’t get much better than that.
