Notice: Bad Weather Impacts Business

We’re down but not out!

This is not our regular entry, that was supposed to be a sale, but due to some serious weather, this post trumps any plans we had in that regard. In case you’re not aware, we had a major windstorm in New Hampshire which resulted inn some serious damage. In our neighborhood alone seven telephone poles were shattered. As such, our services are not running at full capacity. Specifically, here’s the breakdown.

Electrical Power

Our power has been out since late Thursday evening. Fortunately we have generated power so we’ve kept our bugs cold and our sump pump running (curtailing flood damage). According to unofficial reports, we should be able to get back on the grid some time Wednesday, March 3rd.

Telephone Service

Phones service has been intermittent, at best, since Thursday night. They keep coming on, then they go out. The crews are probably working on them when this happens. This means you can get us on the phone — maybe. If the number just rings and rings, or you get a “fast busy” please try again later.

Internet and Cable

Right now I am using my daughter’s laptop about twenty miles from our office. I needed a wireless connection. Normally power outages don’t affect our Internet and cable access, but when lines come down that all changes. As such we will not be monitoring online orders as well as we’d like to, but rest assured we will stay on top on our situation so nobody falls through the cracks.

Shipping this Week

Amazingly it looks like shipping will be as normal as it can be this week. We try to prepare for such weather anomalies (if we can still call them that when they happen every year), and our preparation, along with a little luck, is paying off.

In Closing

We apologize for any inconvenience our little disaster has caused. We will make it right, just give us a little time to get back on our feet and rejoin the modern world. If you have any questions or concerns the best way for you to reach out to us is by phone for the time being (emails will not be returned for a while since we lack proper access). Hopefully things are back to normal this week and not later. Our current sale, by the way, has been extended for one week. Enjoy that!
