Product Description
AMBLYforce™ A is the predatory mite Amblyseius andersoni, a tough generalist used to prevent and manage spider mites and several other mite pests. All of its mobile stages are predatory — it feeds on the eggs, juveniles, and adults of spider mites, and can also get by on young thrips larvae, pollen, pest honeydew, and fungi, so it can be put out before pests even arrive. Introduce it preventively; andersoni is reported to be one of the first predatory mites to move back into fruit crops once insecticide use is reduced. It works in greenhouses, indoor facilities, fields, and gardens.

How Amblyseius andersoni controls mites
Every mobile stage of andersoni is predatory and will feed on the eggs, juveniles, and adults of spider mites. It can also survive on young thrips larvae, flower pollen, the sugary excretions of pests, and fungi, which lets it establish ahead of a pest outbreak. Because of that flexibility, it is best introduced before prey is present, as a preventative treatment for spider mites and other mite pests.

Release Instructions
Mini sachets on hooks: Hang the sachets from plant branches, plant wires, or trellises — but not adjacent to heating pipes. They can handle some moisture, but avoid prolonged moisture exposure and don’t let the bottom touch a wet area, which causes wicking. Each sachet continues to produce predatory mites for about 4–5 weeks.
Shaker tube: Shake small quantities of the product onto the crop near the flowers. You can also use Universal Release Boxes (URBs), placing no more than 1/3 of a box of mites into each and hanging them where needed — this allows strategic releases while keeping carrier litter off the crop.
Storage: Keep out of direct sunlight. The product can be stored at 50–60°F and should be used within 18 hours of receipt.
Monitoring: Check the newest plant growth for signs of damage or webbing, and watch for any remaining webbing in the crop. Scouting for predatory mite adults can be difficult; the most reliable method is to look for decreased pest pressure after releases. The mites are fast-moving, hide in the foliage, and ambush their prey, so they are rarely found in large numbers alongside the pest.
