Release instructions for the Release And Use Of Amblyseius (=Neoseiulus) cucumeris

Release these mites at sundown the day of receipt (if supplied in slow release packets, place packets right away). To release, if provided in a bulk bottle, gently rotate the bottle. Next, unscrew the top, remove the filter paper and place the lid back on. In the crop area, gently tap them out of the bottle evenly onto the foliage of the plants to be treated. You can also use a whirlybird-type spreader to speed and widen the release area. Concentrate the bulk of the product at release points on or near the most heavily infested plants. Leave the bottle, with the cap removed, in the treatment area for 24 hours after release to ensure all mites have exited.

To release, if supplied in slow-release packets, hang the packets by their supplied hooks from the branches of the plants in the treatment area. Do not lay them flat on the soil. Leave packets in place for no less than 5 weeks.

To release from bags, gently rotate the bag to distribute the mites within the carrier. Next, open the bag at the seal and sprinkle out the contents evenly onto the plant foliage using the dispensing scoop. Use a higher concentration in hot spots.

Supplying these predators with certain plantings (flowering, pollen producing plants), at or near the release site, may increase their egg laying activity.
Do not store this product in the bulk bottle or bags for more than 2 days. Hold at a slightly to moderately humid 50-60°F. The slow-release packets are designed to be left in a typical greenhouse environment-assuming humidity is not too high-for up to 5 weeks.
